Amanda was born in Kansas City, Missouri to 2 Marine Corps parents. She spent her toddler years in Camp Pendleton, California, her elementary school years in Okinawa, Japan and her high school and young adult life in St. Petersburg, Florida where she was a locally famous muralist for several years.

Amanda decided to sell everything she owned and start venturing south of the border to learn Spanish and study the rich culture and architecture of Latin countries. She traveled for several months through Costa Rica and Guatemala, eventually settling roots in Ajijic, where she became obsessed with the housing market and the unique character of every home Lakeside.

Amanda is a permanent resident of Ajijic and has resided here for over 5 years, making her well versed in local culture, politics and the real estate market. She co-owns, with her family, the award winning Estrellita's Bed and Breakfast and the award winning El Gato Feo Cafe + Roastery in Ajijic Centro. Her love for the Lake Chapala area has inspired her to help others to also find their home here Lakeside.
